About RippleDevice:

Ripple, is Nepal first OEM brand who orders parts in bulk and assembles to make a powerful Laptops. They have already got about 10 laptops till date, which are all awesome. Most of the laptops are for gamers and designers. They are much cheap as compared to international brands.

Ripple Nova Pro:

Nova Pro is the first laptop in Nepal with latest 2022 hardware that comes with i7 12th gen processor (i7-12700H, 14 Cores, 20 Threads), NVIDIA RTX 3060 OC Max- P (140 Watts) Graphics Card, DDR5 4800MHz RAM and stunning QHD 165Hz Display with 100% sRGB. Detailed Specs can be found on their website.

My Review on Ripple Nova Pro:

As I'm a Gamer/Programmer and do some light Graphics Designing, my main focus will be on Gaming rather than it's build quality and design still I'll give my views on build quality and design.

My Specs:

  • i7-12700H (14 Cores; 6P Cores and 8E Cores, 20 Thread)
  • RTX 3060 6GB
  • 8GB DDR5 4800Mhz RAM
  • QHD 165Hz Display
  • 512 GB SSD
As Nepal haven't yet have DDR5 RAM in the market they have limited it to 8GB for now, but RippleDevice are planning to bring it in about 7-10 days (By April 17) at price it at minimum which is expected to be Rs. 6000 for 8GB, Rs. 6000 for DDR5 8GB Memory is quite cheap. having x2 Memory will surely boost performance of laptop by good percentage.

Freebies:

You also get some freebies like Gaming Mouse and Large Mouse Pad.

Is MUX Switch (Hybrid Mode/dGPU Mode) Available?

Yes, mux switch is available and you can enable or disable it from either Control Center app in Windows or from BIOS, and yes you need to restart your Laptop after enabling or disabling it.

For Those Wondering What is MUX Switch?

All laptop processor have integrated graphics which is connected to display and helps to render desktop and apps (for displaying), if you have dedicated graphics card your display still uses Integrated Graphics. For Eg: If you are gaming, it will use Dedicated Graphics, it first processes from Dedicated Graphics Card and then again send it to Integrated Graphics Card to display it to user which will surely increase your latency and FPS. MUX switch or dGPU Mode can just show your display from Dedicated Graphics Card and Integrated Graphics Card will not be used. All your process will be done in dGPU which will also use more power and your battery time will decrease by a lot.

Build Quality and Design:

For me build quality or design isn't much of a problem but still I find it to be good. The build quality is great and also its design in great. Air intake and vents are excellently engineered which helps in better cooling of laptop. It's lid can catch your fingerprints.

Its's Keyboard is also good, it might not be best out there but it's still good, Touchpad feels amazing to use, it is windows precision touchpad and all the gesture works plus you can enable or disable touchpad by double clicking top left corner (light indicator is used).

Gaming Benchmarks:

Valorant:

League of Legends:

GTA V:

Call of Duty Warzone:
